A few posts ago I wrote about the option to add a configuration form to the plugins page to avoid cluttering up the admin space. Jeffro picked up this post on Weblog Tools Collection and suggested it as a way to make it more certain for users where to find the link for the plugin config. There has been a long running debate about which menu should contain these links.
For everyday users though there is another option. White Shadow has written a plugin that will find plugins that are adding config menus to the WordPress admin and add a configure link beside the appropriate plugin. So now you can have your link without even needing the plugin author to make any changes.
I would still rather that the actual menu itself was removed, leaving only the config link but that was not the consensus so this is a cool idea.
